Parents,

Thanks for your patience with our dive season opening. There are always too many balls in the air at the beginning of the summer and sometimes it takes a practice or two to see what we may have missed. Only yesterday did we realize that we were being asked to start practice later and end sooner than planned for two days a week. After identifying this issue, the SHBR Board will be providing the Dive Team lifeguard coverage so we can go back to the planned daily 3-5pm interim practices on Mon-Fri. I will update the SwimTopia Practice schedule accordingly.

We recognize that is hard for some families to get their divers here between 3-5pm with school and camps, so we are reserving the Saturday practice (2-4pm) for divers who were unable to attend practice during Mon-Fri.

During-School Practices

Mon - Fri

3pm – 5pm - all divers

Sat

2:00 pm - 4:00 pm - all divers (preference to divers who cannot make weekdays)

Of course all of this changes on June 13, when school is out for most of the kids.

Also, if you want to purchase a team suit, there is a link on the front page (https://shbrdive.swimtopia.com/) that goes to our preferred vendor . As I understand it, the suit is available for purchase any time (and other sellers) but they tend to sell out after a few weeks. The team suit is not required for participation in SHBR Dive Team.

Communications

We appreciate everyone's enthusiasm but we ask that you do not try to have a conversation with the coaching staff during practice. They need to focus on diver safety at this time.
